Liz Bell Consulting supports founders in understanding their numbers, increasing business value, and preparing for exceptional exits. The community brings together over 115 portfolio and employed CFOs, offering free membership, resources, insights, and a collaborative professional peer network, with opportunities to share in deal revenue or donate that share to charity. The organization emphasizes a culture of collaboration, transparency, and impact.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote Fractional CFO role supporting founder-led businesses with high-quality strategic finance leadership. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

The Fractional CFO will:

  • Advise on value creation, exit readiness, capital structure, and investor relations
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable guidance for founders
  • Build forecasting models
  • Monitor performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities for growth and efficiency

The role involves engaging with the wider CFO community, contributing insights, and collaborating on best practices to enhance client outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Finance, with proven experience in senior finance leadership or CFO roles.
  • Expertise in Financial Planning and budgeting, including cash flow forecasting and scenario analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Financial Statements and their interpretation to guide strategic decisions.
  • Hands-on experience with Financial Reporting and compliance, including management and investor reporting.
  • Highly developed Analytical Skills, with the ability to use data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Experience supporting founder-led or private equity–backed businesses through growth, value creation, and exits.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders and build trusted relationships.
  • Comfort working remotely, managing multiple client portfolios, and operating in a collaborative, community-driven environment.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent) and a track record in strategic finance are strongly preferred.
