SJC Partners are recruiting on behalf of The Fractional CFO Group. Our client is an established and growing multi-site hospitality business operating a number of successful locations, with further sites currently in the expansion pipeline.
As the business enters its next phase of growth, the owners are seeking an experienced Fractional CFO to provide strategic and commercially focused financial leadership.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a finance professional who can work closely with the directors to strengthen cash-flow management, optimise the existing funding structure, improve financial visibility and support controlled, profitable expansion.
The Role
The successful candidate will take a commercially minded approach to the business's finances, providing insight and challenge rather than simply overseeing routine accounting.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting a comprehensive review of the company's financial position, including existing lending and finance facilities.
- Preparing and maintaining a detailed 13-week cash-flow forecast.
- Reviewing existing borrowing and identifying opportunities to consolidate, refinance or restructure expensive short-term facilities.
- Producing clear monthly management information demonstrating the profitability and cash generation of each individual site.
- Monitoring key KPIs including turnover, gross margin, cost of goods, staffing costs, rent, EBITDA and finance commitments.
- Establishing daily, weekly and monthly break-even targets for each location.
- Financially assessing proposed new sites before commitments are made, including turnover forecasts, occupancy costs, staffing, fit-out expenditure, financing, break-even and ROI.
- Developing a consolidated financial model covering the existing estate and planned expansion.
- Preparing robust financial forecasts, business plans and funding proposals for banks, asset-finance providers and potential investors.
- Advising the directors on the appropriate pace and structure of future expansion while protecting working capital and cash flow.
- Introducing and strengthening financial controls, reporting processes and management information as the business grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
