Fractional CFO | B2B FinTech Scale-Up | Central London | 2-3 days per week

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a London-based FinTech in their search for a Fractional CFO to work 2-3 days per week.

The Client

Our client has created a platform that is now embedded in the day to day operations of its clients, a base made up of large financial and corporate institutions. The business is founder-led, established, and growing quickly on the back of a product that has become part of how its market works rather than a nice to have.

They are looking for a Fractional CFO to work alongside the founders on a 2-3 day per week basis for an initial six months, with every expectation the engagement continues.

The Role

This is a hands-on fractional engagement reporting directly to the CEO. You will own the finance function end to end: reporting, cash, commercial modelling and the numbers that go in front of the board and investors. Revenue is growing quickly against a small number of large enterprise contracts and the finance function needs to catch up with that. There is an outsourced bookkeeping function to support. The immediate priority is building reporting and forecasting the founders can run the business on, followed by putting the commercial and control foundations in place for the next stage of growth.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
