STOIX is working with a fast-growing, founder-led, profitable health and wellness brand on a confidential search for their first fractional Finance Director/CFO on a circa 1-2 days a week basis.
The business has scaled to circa £8m in revenue on a bootstrapped basis and is targeting £15m to £20m over the next two to three years. It's owner-managed today, with finance run by the founder and an external accountant, and is now ready to bring genuine commercial finance capability in-house.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning P&L and rolling cash flow reporting, moved fully in-house
- Building proper e-commerce and contribution margin reporting
- Driving LTV, CAC and cohort analysis to sharpen growth decisions
- Identifying operational and margin gains across the business
- Supporting evaluation of acquisitive growth opportunities
- Acting as a genuine commercial sounding board to the founder, not just a reporting function

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for:
- Proven fractional CFO/FD with strong DTC or e-commerce finance background, ideally scaled through a similar revenue journey
- Comfortable where there's a manufacturing or own-production element
- Commercially minded, not a bookkeeper wearing a CFO title
- Current on modern, AI-enabled finance tools
- Exposure to M&A or acquisitive growth an advantage
- A doer who moves at pace, and someone who'll challenge as much as support
- UK-based, reasonably local to the Southeast an advantage
