We are seeking an experienced part-time CFO to provide strategic financial oversight, group budgeting and reporting, and operational leadership across an award-winning luxury holidays travel business. The role could be located in the UK or South Africa.

This is a remote, fractional position offering the opportunity to work closely with a board-level team in a dynamic and purpose-driven hospitality business.

The role combines senior finance responsibilities with operational oversight of lodge operations, making it ideal for a finance leader with hands-on hospitality or multi-site operational experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit monthly group management accounts and KPIs to the board of directors
  • Oversee group annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts and cashflow forecasts
  • Conduct financial review to ensure the business maximises revenue and profitability
  • Maintain financial controls, SOPs and reporting standards across all operations
  • Manage group banking, taxation, insurance, compliance and company secretarial matters
  • Prepare and submit accounts and papers for quarterly board meetings
  • Conduct on-site reviews of all operations, including financial and operational performance
  • Oversee general managers across the portfolio
  • Provide operational direction on staffing, guest experience standards, maintenance priorities and supplier relationships
  • Lead operational performance reviews during site visits, assessing lodge efficiency, cost management, procurement practices and health & safety compliance
  • Report findings and recommendations to the board following on-site visits
  • Drive operational systems and SOPs across the group, working with lodge management to implement and monitor standard operating procedures that improve efficiency, reduce costs and maintain quality standards

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
