Fractional Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

A venture-backed digital health startup is seeking a Fractional Chief Commercial Officer to help shape and execute its commercial strategy as it prepares for a significant growth phase.
The business has developed an innovative platform focused on breathing, respiratory health, and digital patient monitoring, with applications spanning consumer health, clinical care, and strategic industry partnerships. Following strong early validation, investor backing, and upcoming product launches, the company is now looking to strengthen its commercial leadership capability.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced commercial leader who enjoys working with early-stage businesses, helping define go-to-market strategy, opening doors to strategic partners, and building commercial traction from the ground up.
The Opportunity:
Initially, this will be a fractional engagement requiring a limited time commitment, with scope to increase involvement following the company's next fundraising milestone.

- Refine and validate its commercial strategy
- Prioritise target markets, customer segments, and partnership opportunities
- Build relationships with strategic partners across healthcare, pharmaceuticals, digital health, consumer health, and adjacent sectors
- Support investor discussions by demonstrating commercial traction and market interest
- Develop commercial materials, messaging, and go-to-market plans
- Create and execute outreach strategies to generate partnership and pilot opportunities
- Help establish a scalable commercial function ahead of future growth
- Provide market intelligence and strategic guidance to the leadership team
We are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have:
- Experience as a CCO, VP Commercial, VP Business Development, Chief Growth Officer, Commercial Director, or similar leadership role
- A proven track record of building commercial functions within startups, scale-ups, or emerging technology businesses
- Experience securing strategic partnerships, pilot programmes, or commercial collaborations
- Strong networks across digital health, MedTech, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, respiratory care, patient monitoring, or adjacent sectors
- Experience taking innovative health technologies from concept, validation, or MVP stage into commercial adoption
- A hands-on approach and willingness to operate both strategically and tactically
- An entrepreneurial mindset with genuine enthusiasm for high-growth early-stage businesses
