Fractional CTO | Green Orbit Ltd | Initially Equity Only | UK-Based
About Green Orbit
Green Orbit is a Welsh technology company developing SmartFitIQ, an AI-assisted measurement and fit-intelligence platform for workplace PPE and uniforms.
Our aim is simple: better fit, safer people and less waste. With Innovate UK support secured and university collaborations underway, we are looking for a hands-on technical leader to help take the platform through its next stage of development.
The Opportunity
This is initially a part-time, equity-only role, with no salary or consultancy fees. Candidates must be UK-based and have the right to work in the UK.
The time commitment, equity allocation and vesting terms will be agreed transparently. Our intention is to move towards a paid, potentially full-time position as funding allows.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical architecture and development priorities for SmartFitIQ.
- Lead and support our developers, coordinating delivery with university partners.
- Guide mobile app development, including scanning and manual measurement pathways.
- Strengthen measurement accuracy, platform reliability, security and scalability.
- Assess and guide development of MotionFitIQ, our planned dynamic fit and movement assessment module.
- Establish clear documentation, code ownership and development standards.
- Support technical due diligence and explain our technology to potential investors and partners.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
