Fractional Finance Director
A Fractional Finance Director is required to join a fast-growing, founder-led consumer brand. Working 2-3 days per week based at the company's East London headquarters, this is a 100% e-commerce business trading across the UK and US, with turnover approaching £20 million. The business has doubled in size in the last 18 months and continues to scale rapidly.
This is a hands-on role which is being hired at a pivotal moment for the business. The Finance Director will stabilise and professionalise the finance function, taking ownership of core operations and supporting the Founders in achieving their strategic goals through providing sound financial advice.
Responsibilities
- Establishing a robust month-end process and ensuring finance provide the board with timely monthly management accounts
- Introducing a weekly cash flow forecast, plus scenario modelling, for both the finance team and SLT
- Implementing a suitable monthly stock take process, working with the ops and merchandising teams
- Building a clear budget management and tracking process in partnership with all function leads
- Reviewing international RRP pricing strategy, factoring in sales tax obligations, shipping costs and pricing power
- Reviewing existing finance structure and implementing a robust long-term solution
- Coach and develop the existing finance team

Skill Set Required
To be considered, you will possess the following experience and attributes:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting and financial control experience
- Proven track record of building finance processes from scratch in a fast-growing or scaling business
- Experience operating independently with minimal oversight, able to triage ruthlessly and move at pace
- Comfortable operating at SLT level and managing auditor relationships, with the ability to translate financial insight into business language
- Prior exposure to e-commerce, D2C or consumer/fashion businesses
