The role

An early-stage, AI-native fintech is building agents that automate the mechanical parts of financial review: matching, categorisation, anomaly detection, evidence retrieval, all fully auditable and source-backed. They need a finance leader to be the expert quality gate on that output: catching what the automation misses, and signing off in a way that holds up to auditors, valuers and diligence teams. This isn't fitting in behind AI, it's leading from the front on it. It's project-based and async, and you'd help build the playbook others follow as the model scales.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The work

  • Review agent outputs for accuracy and completeness
  • Catch edge cases and judgement calls the automation can't resolve
  • Propose and document corrections, with clear reasoning
  • Provide sign-off that stands up to external scrutiny from valuers, auditors and diligence teams
  • Help build the playbook for how expert review works in an AI-native model

What you bring

  • CFO or FD background, ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent
  • Comfortable being the senior voice validating AI-generated work, not just checking junior output
  • Comfort working with messy, complex financial data
  • Detail-oriented, with a genuine bar of 100% accuracy
  • Happy to work project-based, async and on deliverables
  • Nice to have: valuation prep, audit readiness or due diligence experience, and a real interest in shaping how AI works in finance
