SmartDry is a Garment Operations System designed specifically for dry cleaners, laundries, and alteration businesses. The platform connects garments, orders, customers, tickets, payments, and workflows in one place, giving teams real-time visibility into every stage of the garment care process. From intake and inspection through cleaning, finishing, quality control, collection, and delivery, SmartDry helps staff understand where each order is, what needs to happen next, and who is responsible. By reducing errors, speeding handovers, and clarifying accountability, SmartDry provides a smoother experience for both staff and customers. The system replaces disconnected spreadsheets and guesswork, enabling modern garment care businesses to operate efficiently and grow with confidence.
Role Description
The Fractional Fundraising & Investor Relations Lead will oversee SmartDry’s capital-raising activities and manage relationships with existing and prospective investors. This contract role will focus on developing the fundraising strategy, preparing investor materials and financial narratives, coordinating outreach campaigns, and supporting investor due diligence processes.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Maintaining the investor pipeline
- Organizing meetings and updates
- Tracking key fundraising metrics
- Ensuring consistent, transparent communication with stakeholders
The position is a hybrid role based in the London Area, United Kingdom, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising, investor relations, and managing investor pipelines for early-stage or growth-stage companies.
- Strong financial literacy, including the ability to interpret and present financial statements, projections, and key performance metrics.
- Proficiency in creating investor decks, executive summaries, and other fundraising collateral, with clear and persuasive written communication.
- Background in venture capital, private equity, corporate finance, or startup fundraising, ideally within SaaS or operations-focused technology businesses.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including relationship-building, negotiation, and the ability to represent the company professionally.
- Comfort working in a fractional or contract capacity, with the ability to prioritize, self-manage, and deliver against timelines in a hybrid work environment.
- Familiarity with CRM tools or investor tracking systems, and strong organizational skills for managing outreach, follow-ups, and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; experience with UK or European investment ecosystems is an advantage.
