Job Summary
Exient is seeking an experienced and highly organised Fractional Game Producer to support our team on a remote, contract basis. We're ideally looking for someone based in the UK. In this role, you will manage game development projects across their lifecycle, from planning and production through to release and live operations, on a part-time basis of 20–25 hours per week. You'll work closely with our Malta-based cross-functional teams, including product, design, engineering, and art, to make sure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality.
This is a great opportunity for a seasoned producer who enjoys variety, works independently, and can make an immediate impact. You'll bring structure and momentum to our projects, building strong relationships internally and with our external partners, while keeping the flexibility of a contractor arrangement.
Responsibilities Include
- Oversee the delivery of assigned internal and external projects through development, release, and live operations
- Quickly get up to speed on existing projects and processes, and work effectively within an agreed time allocation
- Collaborate with teams to create realistic and achievable project plans
- Identify and proactively solve risks, blockers, and dependencies ahead of time
- Maintain clear and accurate project reporting for leadership and stakeholders
- Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and client expectations
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the business and with external partners
- Represent the Production team positively within the studio and with clients
- Document processes and decisions clearly so work continues smoothly on non-working days
- Be flexible to adjust focus as priorities evolve within the agreed scope

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We are particularly interested in speaking with producers who have practical experience using AI within game development, including establishing AI-assisted workflows, pipelines, and toolchains, and exploring the use of agentic AI to automate or streamline development and production processes. We do not currently use generative AI to create game artwork.
