Our client is seeking an accomplished Fractional HR Director / Chief People Officer (CPO) to partner with founders, CEOs, and executive leadership teams, providing strategic HR leadership across multiple growing organizations.
This opportunity is ideal for senior HR executives who enjoy flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to deliver meaningful business impact without committing to a traditional full-time executive role.
π About the Role
As a Fractional HR Director / CPO, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to business leaders, helping organizations scale effectively through people strategy, organizational development, leadership coaching, and workforce transformation.
You will work closely with executive teams to solve complex people challenges, improve organizational performance, and build high-performing, engaged teams.
π Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Partner with CEOs, founders, and executive leadership teams to develop people strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Provide executive-level HR guidance across multiple client organizations.
- Support organizational design, workforce planning, and business transformation initiatives.
- Drive strategic people decisions that enable sustainable growth.

Organizational Development
- Lead organizational change and transformation programs.
- Develop leadership capability and succession planning strategies.
- Design high-performance cultures that improve employee engagement and productivity.
- Support business restructuring, growth, and scaling initiatives.
Talent & Performance
- Advise on talent acquisition, retention, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Develop performance management frameworks and employee development strategies.
- Strengthen employer branding and employee value propositions.
- Support executive recruitment and leadership assessment.
Employee Relations & Culture
- Foster positive workplace cultures built on trust, accountability, and inclusion.
- Coach senior leaders on people management and employee engagement.
- Support conflict resolution and complex employee relations matters.
- Champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellbeing initiatives.
Governance & HR Excellence
- Ensure HR policies comply with UK employment legislation and best practices.
- Improve HR systems, processes, and operational efficiency.
- Utilize workforce analytics to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement across HR functions.
π― Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree or MBA is highly desirable.
- CIPD Level 7 or equivalent professional HR qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 12β15 years' progressive HR leadership experience, including executive-level roles.
- Proven experience as an HR Director, People Director, Chief People Officer, or senior HR executive.
- Strong expertise in organizational development, change management, leadership coaching, and workforce planning.
- Deep understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Exceptional communication, coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
