About the Role
Mission Search is building a national talent pool of experienced fractional leaders who want to use their expertise to support organisations with a clear social purpose.
This is not a vacancy for one specific organisation. We are inviting senior professionals to register with us for future fractional assignments with purpose-led employers across the UK.

Mission Search is a specialist recruitment agency focused on Corporate Services and Leadership recruitment for mission-driven organisations. We work with organisations across sectors including:

We are now launching our dedicated Fractional Search offering, helping clients access experienced leadership expertise on a flexible, part-time or project basis.

We are particularly interested in people who understand the opportunities and challenges faced by purpose-led organisations and can combine strategic leadership with practical delivery.
What the Assignments Might Involve
Opportunities will vary depending on the client, but could include:
- Providing senior leadership during a period of growth or change
- Developing a new strategy, function or operating model
- Supporting organisational transformation or restructuring
- Strengthening governance, systems and internal capability
- Leading a defined project or programme
- Providing experienced leadership while an organisation is not ready for a full-time permanent appointment
- Supporting and mentoring an existing leadership team
- Offering specialist expertise for an agreed number of days each month

Assignments may be remote, hybrid or location-based and could range from a short-term project to an ongoing fractional partnership.
About You
You are likely to have:
- Significant leadership experience within your specialist area
- Experience operating at Director, Executive or senior leadership level
- The ability to work independently and make an impact quickly
- Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills
- A commercial, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
- A genuine interest in supporting organisations with a positive social purpose
- Availability for fractional, part-time, portfolio or project-based work
Previous experience in the charity, education, health and social care, social housing, B Corp or wider purpose-led sectors would be valuable, although we also welcome leaders who can bring relevant expertise from other environments.
