Fractional PPC / Google Shopping Consultant

We're looking for an exceptional, highly experienced PPC specialist to work with our e-commerce business on a fractional basis.

We already have a good level of PPC knowledge internally, so we're not looking for someone to manage campaigns for us or teach us the fundamentals.

We want someone who knows considerably more than we do, can challenge our thinking and, importantly, help develop the capability of our internal team.

A major focus for us is Google Shopping visibility.

We want to answer a deceptively simple question:

How do we get our products appearing in more relevant Google Shopping results?

We want someone with genuinely deep and current expertise in:

  • Google Shopping & Merchant Center
  • Product feeds, taxonomy, titles and attributes
  • Shopping query coverage and impression share
  • Performance Max and Shopping campaign architecture
  • Identifying searches/categories where competitors appear and we don't
  • Bidding, budgets and product segmentation
  • Microsoft / Bing Ads & Shopping
  • Google Demand Gen & Display
  • Criteo & AdRoll
  • Attribution and incrementality

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Our ambition isn't simply to spend more. We want to understand how we can materially increase the visibility and coverage of our products while maintaining commercial discipline and profitability.

Developing Our Team

This is also an important part of the brief.

We want someone who enjoys working alongside an internal team, sharing their expertise and helping make the people around them better.

That could involve reviewing accounts together, challenging strategy, introducing new approaches, developing testing plans and helping the team build a much deeper understanding of PPC and Shopping.

We're based in London and, ideally, we'd like someone who is willing to spend some time working with the team in our office, rather than the relationship being entirely remote.

We're not looking for a Paid Social specialist who also does some PPC. PPC — and particularly Google Shopping — needs to be an area of genuine expertise.

You also need to be very current and hands-on. We want someone who understands what is happening within Google Ads today and has strong opinions based on recent, practical experience.

If you're interested, please send me a short message covering:

  1. How you would approach getting an established e-commerce retailer appearing in more Shopping results.
  2. An example of where you've materially increased Shopping visibility or query coverage.
  3. How hands-on you are with Google Ads and Merchant Center today.
  4. How you've previously helped develop an in-house PPC team.
  5. Whether you're able to spend some time working with us in London.

If Google Shopping and PPC are genuinely your specialist subjects — and you enjoy developing internal teams — we'd love to hear from you.
