Programme / Project Manager – 6 Month Contract
Part-time / Fractional | c.20 hours per week | Flexible working
We’re supporting an international organisation looking to appoint an experienced Programme / Project Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of high-profile, business-critical change projects.
Sitting within the central PMO, this is a hands-on delivery role. You’ll manage multiple projects concurrently, bringing together different workstreams, maintaining momentum and ensuring activity is coordinated, governed and delivered effectively.
The initial portfolio
1. Company-wide Performance & Planning Programme
Programme management of a major annual business cycle comprising 7–8 interconnected workstreams, including:
- Performance management and 360 feedback
- Goal setting
- Compensation & Reward
- Budgeting and financial planning
- Systems/platform change
- Employee communications and training
You’ll own the integrated programme plan, manage dependencies between workstreams, lead governance and ensure stakeholders remain aligned around key milestones.

2. Levelling & Benchmarking
Ongoing project support for an established job architecture, compensation benchmarking and career progression framework.
This will involve coordinating activity across People & Culture, Talent Acquisition, Finance, People Operations and Systems, maintaining governance and supporting the continued embedding of the framework into BAU.
3. Organisational Change & Transformation
Supporting further organisational initiatives across Client and Shared Services, including future-state organisational planning and enterprise integration.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for an experienced Programme or Senior Project Manager who can comfortably manage multiple concurrent projects and operate with significant autonomy.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Strong programme/project management experience within complex organisations
- Experience delivering cross-functional business change
- Excellent planning, governance, RAID and dependency management
- Confidence working directly with senior and executive stakeholders
- Strong change management capability
- Experience coordinating systems, people and business change

- A pragmatic, hands-on approach – this isn't simply a reporting PMO role
The organisation uses Smartsheet for project management and governance, alongside Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and AI-enabled tools.
The engagement
- Duration: 6 months
- Commitment: c.20 hours / 2.5 days per week initially
- Working pattern: Flexible – hours can be managed across the working week rather than being restricted to fixed days
- Scope: Potential for the project portfolio and weekly commitment to evolve
This could suit an experienced interim or fractional Programme Manager who enjoys getting into the detail, managing multiple moving parts and working closely with senior stakeholders to drive delivery.
