We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Welsh Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their Wastewater Network!
We are currently recruiting for A Frame & Covers / Ironworks Operative to join our team, delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across North Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a rewarding career with Lanes Group, working closely with one of our most exciting clients and contributing to their AMP8 objectives.
About The Role
Location: North Wales, Working out of Kinmel Bay
Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm with a paid lunch). Overtime also available at time and a half.
Salary: £13.25 an hour
Weekly pay
Responsibilities
- Replace manhole frames and covers efficiently
- Excavate by hand
- Replace gullies with precision and care
- Complete all types of reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.)
- Carry out site specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team member and site supervisor
- Ensuring on and off sites are live to avoid any penalties with highways permits
- Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet
- Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various task
- Recording photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed
- Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition
- Wearing and maintaining Personal Protective Equipment
- Ensuring highway compliance with reinstatement to avoid defects
- Be able to read and understand Drainage plans

What We Are Looking For
Whilst we are looking for the skills and knowledge to be able to carry out the responsibilities of the role it’s just as important to have employees with a positive and caring attitude or those who are looking for develop further and grow with the group.
Experience And Qualifications
- Full UK driving license (Required)
- Training will be NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, Slinger and Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, Calm Water, EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny, EUSR Water, Face Fit Tested – FFP3
