For our Accrington office we are looking for a Franchise Development Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team, to drive lead-generation activities across both digital and direct channels. The focus will be to manage campaigns that generate franchise prospects as leads, through a data-driven approach that informs the further optimisation of campaigns. A key part of the role therefore is nurturing these leads through CRM, working alongside the sales team, to ensure the contact points throughout the sales funnel guide prospects towards conversion.
This role involves managing the media budget for direct and digital marketing channels, segmenting and interpreting data from multiple sources, and creating reports to present to senior stakeholders. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a cohesive marketing strategy across multiple brands, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding. With a focus on generating leads that convert at the lowest CPL/CPA, the Franchise Development Marketing Manager will play a key role in our company's continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation and Management: Initiate activities across digital and direct channels to capture franchise prospect leads, using analytics and market research. Develop and execute email re-marketing campaigns aimed at re-engaging leads that have shown interest, using personalised content and offers.
- CRM and Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to develop a structured lead nurturing process, utilising CRM tools to monitor progress and engagement. Strategically design contact points within the sales funnel to smoothly transition prospects towards conversion, leveraging insights from CRM data.
- Budget and Data Management: Manage and allocate budget across various marketing channels, ensuring optimal use of funds for direct and digital marketing efforts. Utilise segmentation and analytics to refine marketing approaches and target specific audience segments more effectively.
- Channels and KPIs management: Implement campaigns across a variety of channels including social media, search engines (SEO and PPC), email marketing, and content marketing to maximise reach and engagement. Track key performance indicators such as conversion rates, click-through rates, lead quality scores, and cost per lead to measure the effectiveness of lead generation strategies.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports detailing campaign performance, lead generation effectiveness, and ROI to inform senior stakeholders.
- Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness: Focus on refining marketing strategies to lower the cost per lead and cost per acquisition, enhancing overall marketing efficiency.
- Event and Exhibition Management: Plan and execute events and exhibitions as part of the broader marketing strategy to enhance brand visibility and direct engagement with potential leads. Use events and exhibitions as opportunities to gather leads, providing interactive and immersive brand experiences to stimulate interest and conversions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
