Are you ready to own a business that puts you at the centre of Southampton's growing B2B content market?
The Pod Collective® is the UK's leading B2B podcast and video studio network — and we are opening our Southampton franchise territory to the right person. This is not a job. It is an opportunity to own and operate a professional podcast and video studio business in one of the South's most commercially active cities, backed by a proven model, a national brand, and a team that has already done this.
Southampton — Why This Territory
Southampton is one of the UK's most significant commercial centres — home to a thriving port and maritime economy, a growing professional services sector, major financial services operations, a strong university presence across the University of Southampton and Solent University, and one of the South's most active business communities. The port and logistics sector alone makes Southampton a distinctive B2B market — major shipping lines, freight forwarding businesses, maritime law firms, and port operations companies are all based here, all generating substantial business activity, and almost none producing professional content that tells their story.
Add to this the financial services, technology, healthcare, and professional services businesses across the city and its surrounding area — and you have a territory with an extraordinary untapped B2B content opportunity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who we are looking for
You do not need a background in media, podcasting, or video production. Our comprehensive training programme covers everything. You do need:
- A strong B2B network in Southampton or the surrounding area — Fareham, Eastleigh, Hedge End, Portsmouth, and the wider Hampshire region
- Commercial confidence — you are comfortable having senior business conversations and building client relationships
- Entrepreneurial ambition — you want to build something of your own, not work for someone else
- The drive to grow a client base from scratch with a proven network behind you
- The capital to invest — franchise fee of £20,000 with financing options available
A background in sales, marketing, professional services, maritime, or business development is a genuine advantage. An interest in content, business storytelling, and the podcast space is a strong plus.
