Motor Investigator
Location: Birmingham / Hybrid
Salary: Negotiable + Bonus + Car Allowance
Term: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Motor Investigator to join a growing investigations team, focusing on complex and potentially fraudulent motor insurance claims.
This role would suit someone with a strong background in motor claims who enjoys investigating cases, gathering evidence, and working with customers and legal partners to reach the right outcome.
You'll manage your own caseload from start to finish, investigating a variety of claims including vehicle damage, personal injury, theft, fire, credit hire, and policy fraud. You'll work closely with internal teams, brokers, insurers, customers, and solicitors to assess claims and identify any concerns around fraud or policy breaches.
The role offers a mix of home and office working, the opportunity to handle interesting and challenging cases, and genuine career development within a well-established business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
