We’re proud of the journey we’re on as a company and know that our continued success will rely on the contribution of our talented colleagues.

We provide insurance for over four million customers, but we know there’s even bigger opportunity out there. The fact you’re now reading this job advert means we’ve tempted you to find out more about #lifeatHD – we really hope you like what you see, and you’ll join us to share in the success of the exciting chapter that lies ahead.

We understand some people may not apply for jobs unless they feel they tick every box. If you’re excited about joining us and think you have some of what we’re looking for, even if you’re not 100% sure we would love to hear from you.

Role overview

As our Fraud Performance and Controls Lead, you’ll be leading the performance and optimisation of our end-to-end Policy Fraud portfolio, driving commercial value through the effective design, performance, and continuous improvement of fraud controls, underwriting referrals, and operational processes.

You’ll act as the critical link between Underwriting, Analytics, and Operations, with accountability for maximising fraud prevention outcomes, reducing friction for genuine customers, and delivering sustainable profitability through an effective fraud control framework.

Job details

  • Performance of the Policy Fraud portfolio: Own the performance against agreed fraud, commercial, and customer measures, identifying opportunities to improve fraud detection, referral efficiency, and underwriting outcomes.
  • Driving initiatives: Improve loss ratio, referral performance, and operational efficiency and present portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities to senior stakeholders.
  • Senior fraud representative: Influence the underwriting strategy through operational insights and fraud intelligence and partner with analytics, pricing, and underwriting teams to improve referral rules and control performance – supporting the next generation of fraud prevention strategies.
  • Workflow optimisation: Remove process inefficiencies, ensure consistent operating models across workstreams, and coordinate change activity impacting operations.
  • Case review: Lead the review of significant fraud and large loss cases to help identify control weaknesses and emerging fraud threats, producing actionable insights that strengthen controls and identifying trends, vulnerabilities, and opportunities – ensuring lessons learned are translated into measurable business improvements.
  • Effectiveness and efficiency: Identify automation opportunities, support the implementation of new fraud controls, decisioning capabilities, and customer journeys, and drive simplification and standardisation of operational processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
