About us
Urban Project Construction and Events Ltd is a build and fabrication partner based in Hoyland, Barnsley. We work across construction and event projects, delivering exhibition stands, scenic builds, props and bespoke joinery for creative agencies and clients. We take projects from brief through to finished build, working closely with clients and partners to deliver work that's technically sound and visually compelling.
The role
We're looking for a freelance 3D Visualiser to work with us on an as-needed basis. You'll take client briefs and turn them into proof-of-concept designs, photorealistic renders and accurate technical drawings our team can build from. This is a hybrid role: much of the work can be done remotely, with time on-site at our Hoyland workshop when projects require it.
What you'll be doing
- Interpreting client briefs, sketches, plans and specifications to produce first-draft proof-of-concept designs
- Creating high-quality 3D visualisations and photorealistic renders for client presentations and sign-off
- Producing accurate technical drawings, layout plans and detail views for fabrication
- Preparing clear, professional presentation materials
- Revising designs based on client and team feedback
- Working closely with project managers and our build team so designs are practical to fabricate and meet client expectations
- Keeping project files up to date and delivering to agreed deadlines

What we're looking for
- A strong portfolio of 3D renders and technical drawings
- Confidence in Blender, AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max or similar software. We care about results more than the tool
- Strong 3D modelling and rendering skills, including realistic lighting, materials and scene set-up
- The ability to create accurate technical drawings from briefs or site measurements
- The ability to turn rough ideas and technical information into clear, buildable designs
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several deadlines at once
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach
- Based within commuting distance of Hoyland, and able to come in person when projects need it
- Experience in exhibitions, event production, set design, props, joinery or architectural visualisation is a big plus

This is a freelance role with no set hours. We'll bring you in project by project as work comes in. Rates will be discussed during the interview process.
