Freelance Account Director (Branding Agency) — 6 Weeks - £450/£500 per day inside IR35 - London - Hybrid
We’re looking for an experienced Freelance Account Director to join a leading branding agency for an initial six-week contract.
You’ll step into a busy client portfolio and take senior ownership of the day-to-day agency/client relationship, helping to keep projects moving, stakeholders aligned and the work commercially and creatively on track.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can quickly get under the skin of a client, build trust and bring calm, confident leadership to a fast-moving branding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead key client relationships, acting as a senior point of contact across multiple projects.
- Own project communication, ensuring clients and internal teams are aligned at every stage.
- Work closely with strategy, creative and production teams to keep projects progressing smoothly.
- Manage timelines, budgets, scopes and expectations across live branding projects.
- Lead client meetings, presentations and project updates with confidence.
- Identify risks, resolve issues and keep momentum when priorities shift.
- Brief and collaborate with internal teams, ensuring everyone understands the client challenge and project objectives.
- Spot opportunities to strengthen relationships and add value beyond the immediate brief.
- Bring structure, clarity and senior account leadership from day one.

The Candidate
You’ll be an experienced Account Director with proven branding agency experience.

You’ll have a strong understanding of how branding projects work — from initial strategy and creative development through to rollout — and be comfortable working alongside senior strategists and creatives.
You’re confident, commercially aware and highly organised, with the ability to quickly establish credibility with both clients and internal teams.
You’ll be someone who can hit the ground running, manage complexity without drama and bring a calm, proactive approach to a busy agency environment.
Branding agency experience is essential. This role is best suited to someone immediately available for a six-week freelance engagement and comfortable stepping into an established team and client portfolio at pace.
