Freelance After Effects VFX Compositor

Location: London — Hybrid
Type: Freelance

About Little Shadow

Little Shadow is a London-based studio specialising in the design, creation and blending of bespoke graphics, visual effects and animation across television and advertising. Our team has been crafting visuals for industry-leading productions for over two decades, combining creative collaboration with a keen eye on pipeline, process and emerging technology. We’re currently looking for additional freelance support across a number of shows in production, working alongside our team across traditional VFX and emerging AI workflows.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced freelance VFX Compositor with strong Adobe After Effects (AE) skills to join our team. The role will involve a mix of traditional VFX compositing and newer AI/neural workflows, so we’re looking for someone technically confident, creatively minded and comfortable working across different types of source material. This is a hybrid role based in London, with a requirement to work from our studio for part of the booking.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
