About us
We are a leading UK nursery group with 100+ nurseries across the UK, and we’re looking for an experienced freelance AI Search & Visibility Specialist to help us understand and improve how our nurseries and brand appear within the rapidly changing world of AI-powered search. AI is changing how parents research nurseries and make decisions about childcare. We want to understand where we currently appear in AI-generated answers, where we have opportunities to improve our visibility, and what practical steps we should take to become more prominent and authoritative.
The role
We’re looking for someone who can assess our current AI search visibility, provide meaningful data and insights, and then work with us to develop a practical strategy for improving our presence. You’ll be looking at how our individual branded nurseries appear across platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and other relevant AI/search platforms.
The work will include:
- Auditing our current visibility across AI search platforms
- Developing a robust set of search/query prompts that parents might use when researching nurseries and childcare
- Measuring how frequently and prominently our brand and nurseries appear
- Understanding which competitors are being recommended and why
- Identifying gaps in our content, website, local SEO, reputation, and online presence
- Providing data and reporting that demonstrates where we currently stand
- Identifying the factors that may be influencing whether AI systems recommend or reference us
- Making practical recommendations for improving our AI visibility / AI search optimisation
- Helping us prioritise actions across a portfolio of 100+ nursery locations
- Tracking progress over time and demonstrating whether our visibility is improving

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You don’t necessarily need to have worked specifically with nursery businesses, but experience with large multi-location organisations, local businesses, consumer services or education/childcare would be highly relevant.
