Freelance / Ad Hoc AI Technical Assessors – Multiple Specialisms

We are building a panel of experienced freelance assessors to conduct structured technical interviews for AI, automation, product, and enablement roles. This is flexible, assignment-by-assignment work. We are not expecting one assessor to cover every role. Assessors will only be assigned candidates within their proven area of expertise.

The Assessment Process

A typical assignment includes:

  • Preparation and review of the candidate’s CV or portfolio
  • A structured 70-minute interview
  • Review of a previous prototype, project, or relevant work example
  • Role-specific technical or practical questioning
  • Completion of a standard assessment scorecard
  • An evidence-based hiring recommendation

Assessors will receive an interview guide, role-specific question framework, and scoring rubric. The interview is not intended to be a lengthy live-coding exercise unless the particular role requires one.

Fee

The fixed fee is £99 per completed assessment, including preparation, the 70-minute interview, and delivery of the completed assessment scorecard. Work will initially be offered on an ad hoc, assignment-by-assignment basis, with no guaranteed minimum number of assessments.

Who We Are Looking For

Applicants should have:

  • Strong hands-on or leadership experience in at least one of the listed categories
  • Experience building, delivering, managing, or leading relevant AI systems or programmes
  • Previous interviewing, hiring, mentoring, or assessment experience
  • The ability to assess evidence objectively and distinguish genuine knowledge from rehearsed answers
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and reliability
