Role Overview
This role is ideal for a highly skilled animator specializing in Toon Boom Harmony rigging and asset creation, available for part-time work from October to December. The position is primarily remote, with occasional in-person sessions in London, making it suitable for candidates willing to travel as needed. You will take the lead on developing a photoreal animal character pipeline, preparing 2D photo assets in Adobe Photoshop and assembling detailed cut-out puppets in Toon Boom Harmony. The role requires a proactive approach to asset management and a keen eye for anatomical accuracy, ensuring all rigs are robust and production-ready for advanced neural video processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation of photoreal animal character rigs using Toon Boom Harmony
- Prepare and retouch 2D photo assets in Adobe Photoshop for rigging
- Develop orthographic turnarounds and camera specifications for animal reference photoshoots
- Ingest, curate, and organize hero plates for asset production
- Complete detailed layer breakdowns and joint under-painting for accurate articulation
- Set up dialogue phonemes and multi-angle rigs for animation pipelines
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure assets meet technical and creative requirements
- Attend occasional studio sessions in London as required

Skills And Requirements
- Expert proficiency in Toon Boom Harmony, including Node View and advanced deformers
- Strong Photoshop retouching and asset preparation skills
- Demonstrated experience creating accurate character turnarounds and anticipating joint articulation limits
- Proven ability to build robust, multi-angle rigs for complex animation workflows
- Experience with photoreal animal character pipelines is highly desirable
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams
- Willingness to travel to London for occasional studio sessions
