About Task Talent Recruitment Ltd
Task Talent Recruitment Ltd is a UK recruitment agency (Company No. 15839695) placing permanent, contract and temporary talent across a range of sectors. We're expanding our business development function and looking for self-employed appointment setters and BDRs to help us identify and engage new client companies across the UK.
The Role
This is a remote, self-employed, commission-only role — ideal for an experienced telesales, appointment-setting, or business development professional who wants genuinely uncapped earning potential and full flexibility over how and when they work.
You'll be identifying prospective client companies, making contact by phone, email or LinkedIn, and booking qualified appointments for our team to progress. If you have recruitment sales experience and want to run the whole cycle yourself, there's a route to Set-and-Close status, where you manage the client relationship through to a signed placement for a significantly higher commission rate.
What you'll be doing
- Identifying and researching prospective client companies using approved data sources
- Making outbound contact by phone, email, and LinkedIn to engage key decision-makers
- Qualifying opportunities and booking appointments for our recruitment team
- (Set-and-Close track) Managing the client relationship through to a closed placement
- Logging all activity accurately in our CRM

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience in telesales, appointment setting, business development, or B2B sales — recruitment sector experience is a strong plus
- Confident, professional phone manner and strong written communication
- Self-motivated and comfortable managing your own pipeline and time as a self-employed contractor
- Based in the UK, with a good understanding of (or willingness to be trained on) UK telemarketing compliance (CTPS, PECR)
What you'll get
- Genuinely uncapped, performance-based commission — no ceiling on what you can earn
- Full flexibility: work remotely, set your own hours, use your own methods
- Warm onboarding: a full compliance and CRM briefing before you make your first call
- CTPS-checked lead data provided, with the option to source your own using our approved tools
- A clear, written contractor agreement covering commission structure, payment terms, and your rights from day one

Compensation — On-Target Earnings (OTE)
This is a self-employed, commission-only role, so earnings are performance-based rather than a fixed salary. To give you a realistic sense of what's achievable:
Scenario
Monthly Volume (illustrative)
Monthly OTE
-
Appointment Setting only (30%)
- 1 placement/month, at National Living Wage full-time salary (£26,436.80/yr) on our lowest 12% fee band
- ~£951/month
-
Set-and-Close (50%)
- Same placement (1/month, National Living Wage salary, 12% band)
- ~£1,586/month
Figures above are calculated on our lowest fee band and a single placement per month — a genuinely realistic starting expectation, not a best-case scenario. They are illustrative, not guaranteed earnings. Commission is uncapped: placing higher-salaried roles, multiple placements in a month, or working towards Set-and-Close status all increase what's achievable — we're happy to talk through realistic upside at interview.
