The Role
As a Passive Fire Protection Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering practical and classroom-based fire stopping training to delegates from a wide range of industries, including contractors, housing providers, local authorities, and fire safety professionals.
Full support will be provided to help you develop within the role and expand your knowledge across our wider training portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging classroom and practical fire stopping training courses.
- Demonstrate the correct installation of passive fire protection systems.
- Support learners throughout their training and assessment.
- Maintain training equipment, workshops, and practical training areas.
- Ensure training is delivered safely and to a consistently high standard.
- Keep up to date with current legislation, standards, and industry best practice.
- Complete learner documentation accurately.
- Travel throughout the UK to deliver training courses when required.
- Assist in the development of new practical training resources.

Essential Requirements
- Significant practical experience installing fire stopping systems.
- Teaching qualification (AET, PTLLS, or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Passion for developing others.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
Desirable
- Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1, or equivalent).
- Experience delivering training courses.
- Experience with a range of passive fire protection manufacturers and systems.
- Experience carrying out fire stopping installs, inspections, or surveys.
