Freelance Assessor - Teaching Assistant & Early Years

Educate 2Gether Training is seeking an experienced and engaging Assessor to deliver and assess funded adult learning programmes in Teaching Assistant and Early Years qualifications in Herefordshire.

This is a fixed-term freelance opportunity initially running for approximately 14-15 weeks, with the possibility of extension based on future funded contracts. Please note this is not a permanent or full-time position.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver engaging face-to-face teaching sessions in Leominster
  • Assess learner work and provide constructive feedback
  • Support adult learners throughout their learning journey
  • Conduct learner reviews and progress tracking
  • Deliver high-quality Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
  • Embed employability, English and maths skills within delivery
  • Support learners with progression into further learning or employment
  • Maintain accurate learner records and funding compliance requirements
  • Promote safeguarding, Prevent, British Values and learner wellbeing

What we're looking for

  • βœ… Experience delivering and assessing Teaching Assistant qualifications
  • βœ… Experience delivering and assessing Early Years qualifications
  • βœ… Strong understanding of adult learning and learner support
  • βœ… Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • βœ… Ability to deliver engaging face-to-face sessions and maintain learner motivation
  • βœ… Knowledge of safeguarding, Prevent and inclusive learning practices

  • Assessor qualification (CAVA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent)
  • Teaching qualification (Level 3 Award in Education and Training, PTLLS, AET or above)
  • Experience delivering funded adult education programmes
  • Knowledge of NCFE CACHE qualifications
