Remote, South Africa | 10–20 hours per week | Freelance
Proximity News Network is looking for an experienced cold caller to contact UK local businesses about paid sponsored business spotlight articles in our regional news publications.
We provide the lead list, call script and full details of the offer. Your time should be spent primarily making outbound calls.
Responsibilities
- Call UK local businesses during UK business hours
- Speak with business owners and decision-makers
- Introduce our sponsored business spotlight feature
- Handle basic questions and objections
- Record a simple outcome beside each lead
- Pass interested businesses back to our team

Requirements
- Previous B2B cold-calling or telesales experience
- Clear, natural and confident spoken English
- Experience calling UK businesses is strongly preferred
- Comfortable making a high volume of calls
- Reliable internet, computer and headset
- Available during UK business hours
- Able to work independently from a supplied script and lead list

Pay
- R120–R150 per hour, depending on experience
- R750 commission for each business that pays for a feature
- Initial paid trial, with ongoing weekly work available
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide a brief voice recording reading the opening section of the call script.
