Freelance Corporate B2B Events Manager (Flexible hours)

12 mths Fixed Term Contract – London (Fully Remote)
Salary c£38-£40K FTE -pro-rata to day rate

About the Role

Amazing opportunity to make a real difference and drive change through organising and hosting industry-focused events for women in re/insurance to foster networking, leadership, and professional growth.

As Events Manager you will be working as part of a pioneering organisation whose mission is to support women to thrive professionally, personally and socially through delivering a ‘ground breaking’ events programme designed to address issues facing working women of today. They are proud of their status as a global membership organisation supporting 10,000+ women at all career stages across seven countries. With 100+ corporate partners, they provide structured mentoring, coaching, networking, and professional development programmes that help women advance into leadership and board roles. Their client group comprises a highly prestigious corporate partner membership base so a previous background in arranging ‘membership’ programmes of live and interactive events is ideal!

Responsibilities

  • Design and manage a structured events programme in London that supports women in insurance across the globe, working closely with Account Directors to align with business strategy.
  • Deliver a range of virtual and in-person events, including mentoring sessions, workshops, networking events, and professional development opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with members and corporate partners, ensuring events are tailored to their needs.
  • Liaise with speakers, coaches, facilitators, and industry leaders.
  • Manage relationships with event sponsors and hosts, ensuring seamless delivery and engagement.
  • Trial and develop new event formats.
  • Track event attendance and collect feedback.

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will be a ‘born organiser’, plate spinner, have lots of initiative, relationship-driven, and passionate about gender diversity.

Essential experience:

  • At least 3 years experience in B2B corporate events management, delivering both in-person and virtual events ideally within or for membership-based organisations.
  • Strong relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and CRM platforms (HubSpot or similar).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage various stakeholders.
  • A strategic, analytical mindset, able to assess event success and adjust programming accordingly.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership while being an active collaborator within a small team.
  • A strong interest in gender equality and workplace culture change.
  • Additional experience in financial services or insurance is a plus, but not essential.
