Freelance Business Development Consultant – Recruitment Services

Self-Employed | Commission Only | Remote/Flexible

Employment type: Contract

Compensation: Commission Only / Uncapped Commission

Location: Remote – United Kingdom

We are an established recruitment and executive search business looking to partner with an experienced Freelance Business Development Consultant who already has strong relationships with companies and decision-makers requiring recruitment and talent acquisition services.

This is a self-employed, commission-only opportunity designed for an experienced business development professional, recruitment consultant, HR professional, or industry networker who can introduce and develop new corporate clients.

The Opportunity

Your primary focus will be simple: identify and introduce companies that have recruitment requirements and convert those relationships into new clients.

You will focus on business development and client acquisition. Our recruitment team will manage the recruitment process, candidate sourcing, and delivery.

This opportunity would particularly suit someone who already has relationships with:

  • HR Directors and HR Managers
  • Talent Acquisition Leaders
  • CEOs, Managing Directors, and Business Owners
  • Procurement and Vendor Management teams
  • Companies with ongoing or upcoming recruitment requirements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
