About the role
Route Software is looking for a Freelance Business Development & Partnerships Manager to help us grow our client base, build new relationships and identify new software development opportunities in the UK and beyond.
We’re looking for someone commercially minded, proactive and confident in building genuine long-term relationships with businesses, agencies and partners.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development, sales, partnerships or account management, preferably within software, digital, technology or agency environments.
- Strong ability to identify and approach new clients, agencies and potential business partners.
- Experience with B2B lead generation, outreach and relationship building.
- Confident communicating with founders, managers and key decision-makers.
- Comfortable using LinkedIn and other professional networks to generate opportunities.
- Ability to understand and clearly communicate software services including web development, mobile applications, full-stack development and digital solutions.
- Experience taking opportunities from initial contact through to discovery calls, proposals and commercial discussions.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a freelance / remote environment.
- Organised approach to maintaining leads, follow-ups and business development pipelines.
- Existing network within the UK technology, agency, startup or SME market would be highly desirable.
- Previous experience generating business for a software development company or digital agency would be a strong advantage.

This is a remote freelance role with flexible hours. Compensation can be structured around an agreed freelance rate plus commission for successfully secured projects.
This is not a traditional cold-calling sales role. We are looking for someone who can build genuine relationships, identify the right opportunities and help grow Route Software through long-term clients and partnerships.
