A well established Global Business Coaching Consultancy has a fantastic close-knit team of Business Coaches based in Bury St Edmunds. The team are growing and looking for an experienced freelance Business Development Specialist to join them and help them connect with more local business owners, and create quality opportunities for the team of Business Coaches.
If you have a knack for opening doors, starting meaningful conversations and love being a catalyst to help others live their dreams this could be a really interesting opportunity for you.
This is a flexible, remote role for an experienced, results-driven, professional with proven experience in a similar role who can confidently engage business owners, identify opportunities and turn conversations into qualified appointments.
This isn’t high volume calls or tick-box activity. It’s consistent follow-up, meaningful conversations and delivering results.
You will be working with a well-established global brand, supported by proven messaging, quality data and ongoing guidance, while having the freedom and autonomy that comes with freelance working.

The Role:
- Speaking with business owners and decision-makers to introduce the business and the value they provide
- Building rapport and developing genuine relationships with prospective clients
- Daily outbound telephone cold calling demonstrating a strong, engaging communication style to convert prospects
- Following up opportunities through a structured outbound phone and email process
- Identifying qualified prospects and booking introductory meetings for their Business Coaches
- Managing and nurturing their pipeline to maximise appointment attendance and future opportunities
- Representing their brand professionally and positively at all times, someone polite, approachable and personable would be best suited
This role would suit someone who is:
- Experienced in B2B business development, appointment setting, lead generation or outbound sales
- Experienced in making successful outbound telephone cold calls to prospects at Business Owner and Director level
- Friendly, professional and naturally confident when speaking with people
- Skilled at building rapport and gaining trust quickly
- Consistent and disciplined with follow-up activity
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Results-focused and accountable for their own performance
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Based in the UK
