The company focuses on creating memorable experiences through themed parties, interactive entertainment, and visually engaging setups. Startastic works closely with clients to tailor services to the mood and style of each occasion. Team members contribute directly to making events fun, welcoming, and inclusive for diverse audiences.
Role Description
The Freelance Characters role is a part-time, on-site position based in North Tyneside. In this role, you will portray a variety of characters at events, parties, and celebrations, interacting warmly with guests of all ages. Daily tasks include:

You will help set up and maintain character-related props or costumes, follow health and safety guidelines, and represent Startastic in a professional, friendly manner. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak celebration seasons is expected.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform and stay in character, with strong improvisation and storytelling skills.
- Comfort interacting with children, families, and diverse groups in a friendly and inclusive manner.
- Reliable time management, punctuality, and professionalism at all events.
- Physical stamina to stand, move, and wear costumes for extended periods.
- Clear spoken English and confident communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with event staff and follow instructions from coordinators.
- Experience in acting, drama, performance, or customer-facing roles is beneficial.
- Access to transport to reach event locations in and around North Tyneside is an advantage.
