Freelance Content Producer

About The Role

Are you a creative and detail-oriented content professional eager to make a significant impact? We are looking for a Freelance Content Producer to craft clear, accurate, and engaging digital content that supports our crucial communication priorities. This is a hands-on role where you will be at the forefront of digital storytelling, confidently writing and editing for diverse online audiences. You’ll thrive on simplifying complex information and working across a dynamic range of content formats and channels, bringing vital scientific and health insights to life.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce clear, accurate, and engaging digital content, including organizational updates, scientific or technical explainers, thought leadership pieces, and other essential communications materials.
  • Translate complex information and specialist subject matter into accessible, engaging content tailored for a wide range of audiences.
  • Plan, draft, edit, and publish content across various digital channels, with a primary focus on websites and social media platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and subject-matter experts to develop content that is accurate, relevant, and perfectly aligned with our communication goals.
  • Support the development of captivating multimedia content, including video, photography, infographics, and illustrations, enhancing our visual storytelling capabilities.
  • Edit and adapt visual content to ensure it adheres to brand guidelines and digital best practices, maintaining a consistent and professional aesthetic.
  • Contribute innovative ideas for new and engaging ways to communicate complex subjects and organizational priorities, pushing the boundaries of digital content.
  • Ensure all content is well-structured, accessible, and appropriate for its intended audience and distribution channel.
  • Support the entire content production process, from initial brief and planning through to meticulous editing, approval, and final publication.

Who You Are

You are an enthusiastic content professional who genuinely enjoys transforming ideas and information into captivating digital experiences. You are comfortable navigating different formats and channels, while also possessing the keen eye for detail required to produce accurate, high-quality work consistently. Your proactive and curious approach drives you to find creative ways to tell impactful stories and engage audiences effectively.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience creating and editing digital content, ideally for websites and social media platforms.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
  • A strong ability to transform complex or technical information into accessible content for non-specialist audiences.
  • A solid understanding of digital content principles and how audiences interact with content across various channels.
  • Experience working with or producing multimedia content such as video, photography, infographics, or illustrations.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the capacity to effectively manage multiple pieces of content and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Strong attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy in all your work.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and external creative partners.
  • An understanding of brand guidelines and how to apply them consistently across all content.
  • A proactive and curious mindset, always seeking creative approaches to storytelling and audience engagement.
