Freelance Business Development Manager (Corporate Retreats & Events)
Peak and Dale Places is looking for an experienced freelance sales professional to help us develop corporate bookings across our collection of large private venues in Derbyshire.
This is an initial three-month assignment, focused on generating new business for:
- corporate retreats
- residential meetings and leadership off-sites
- training days and team gatherings
- private company events and celebrations
- Christmas parties and annual events
Our venues include Holly House, which can host larger company gatherings, and Stainsborough Hall, which is particularly well suited to smaller, more personalised and senior-level off-sites.

We are looking for someone who can:
- identify and approach relevant corporate contacts
- build relationships with HR, People, Events, Learning and Development and Executive Assistant teams
- develop links with venue-finding agencies and independent event planners
- manage follow-up and maintain a clear sales pipeline
- arrange venue visits and help convert opportunities into confirmed bookings
Previous experience in hotel sales, venue sales, corporate events, hospitality or business development would be ideal. Existing corporate or agency contacts would be a significant advantage.

This is a freelance, flexible assignment with a retainer plus commission on bookings generated. The initial term is three months, with the potential to continue if the role proves successful.
