Role: Freelance Creative Planner

We’re looking for an experienced Freelance Creative Planner to support our Creative & Digital team on a rolling month-to-month contract until the end of the year (potentially longer). Start date as soon as possible.

This role sits at the heart of our creative workflow, helping us coordinate resource, manage priorities and keep multiple projects moving smoothly across a busy multidisciplinary creative team.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable jumping into a fast-moving environment, quickly understanding priorities and making sure the right work gets to the right people at the right time.

Please note this is more of a hands-on creative resource planning, not just general project management.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating creative workflow across multiple projects
  • Triaging briefs and allocating work based on priority, capability, and capacity
  • Monitoring workload and identifying resource gaps, conflicts, and bottlenecks
  • Supporting forward planning and forecasting of upcoming creative requirements
  • Coordinating internal creative teams and freelance/external resource
  • Maintaining clear visibility of priorities, timelines, and project status
  • Working closely with Creative, Account, Delivery, and Operations teams
  • Helping resolve workflow issues and keep delivery moving
  • Supporting efficient use of internal and external resource
  • Improving processes and ways of working where opportunities arise

Requirements

  • Experience in creative operations, creative resource management, planning, or project management
  • Strong experience managing workflow and resource across multidisciplinary creative teams
  • A good understanding of creative and production workflows
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Confidence working with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Experience with workflow, resource planning, or project management tools
  • The ability to quickly get up to speed and work independently

Experience within a healthcare communications, medical communications, agency, or similar creative environment would be particularly useful, including knowledge of Hive - our resource management software.
