Join a dynamic team to lead the marketing strategy for a high-energy Afrobeats-focused event in London on 12 December.
This part-time, freelance role is ideal for a commercially minded marketer with a passion for music, nightlife, and culturally led events. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing campaign to build awareness, engage target audiences, and drive ticket sales. The position offers flexibility, with a hybrid working arrangement in London and consideration for applicants willing to travel. As the Event Marketing Lead, you will leverage your expertise and network to deliver impactful results, working closely with the event founders to ensure the campaign’s success.
Deliverables
- Develop and implement a full event marketing strategy, including campaign planning and audience segmentation
- Manage social media channels and create engaging content tailored to Afrobeats and youth culture audiences
- Plan and execute paid digital advertising campaigns across relevant platforms
- Identify and engage influencers, creators, and community partners to amplify event reach
- Establish and manage promotional partnerships with media platforms and cultural communities
- Oversee ticket-sales campaigns, monitor performance, and optimize activities based on data insights
- Provide regular updates on campaign progress and adjust tactics to maximize ticket conversions

Requirements
- Proven experience marketing music, nightlife, or culturally led events, preferably in the UK
- Strong understanding of Afrobeats, youth culture, and diaspora audiences
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Proficiency in social media management, paid digital advertising, and influencer outreach
- Analytical skills to interpret campaign, paid-media, and ticket-sales data for ongoing optimization
- Existing network of relevant influencers, promoters, or media platforms is highly desirable
- Commercially focused mindset with a track record of driving ticket sales
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Flexible availability, with increased commitment expected during ticket launch and pre-event periods
- Hybrid role based in London; applicants willing to travel will also be considered
