Help save a vital local charity and build support for older people across North Craven.

Age UK North Craven is an independent local charity supporting around 2,000 older people every year, as well as their families and carers. Our services are trusted, valued and relied upon throughout the community. However, like many charities, we are facing significant funding challenges and an uncertain future.

We know we need to grow our profile, engage new supporters and strengthen our fundraising. Right now, our most urgent priority is to generate the income needed to sustain our services over the next six months while laying the foundations for longer-term support.

We're looking for an experienced freelance communications and campaigns professional who can quickly develop and deliver a compelling public-facing campaign that raises awareness, inspires action and helps secure the charity's future.

This is an opportunity to make a tangible difference at a critical moment for a much-loved local organisation.

What you'll do

  • Launch an urgent community appeal
  • Develop and deliver a high-impact emergency fundraising campaign.
  • Create compelling messages and communications that inspire people to support Age UK North Craven.
  • Identify the most effective channels, audiences and tactics to maximise engagement and response.
  • Tell our story
  • Work with staff, volunteers and service users to uncover powerful stories that demonstrate our impact.
  • Create engaging campaign content for digital, social media, email and local media channels.
  • Develop a bank of case studies, testimonials, images and campaign materials that can be used in future fundraising and awareness activity.
  • Build support and engagement
  • Nurture awareness of Age UK North Craven among local communities, supporters and stakeholders.
  • Help strengthen relationships with existing supporters while attracting new ones.
  • Identify opportunities to increase visibility and engagement through partnerships, events, media coverage and community networks.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
