We’re Hiring: Freelance Event Décor Crew – London
We’re looking for creative, reliable and hardworking Freelance Event Décor Crew to join our team and support the preparation, styling, setup and pack-down of weddings, corporate events and special celebrations across our London venues.
This is a hands-on role and would be ideal for students, aspiring event decorators, creatives, or anyone with a genuine interest in event décor, styling and florals who would like to gain practical experience within the events industry.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assisting with event décor setup and styling
- Assisting with artificial floral arrangements, centrepieces and floral displays
- Preparing, steaming, fluffing and arranging artificial flowers
- Styling guest tables, stages, entrances and feature areas
- Setting up candles, candelabras, candle holders and other decorative accessories
- Assisting with stage, backdrop and feature installations
- Following mood boards, visual references and styling instructions to recreate event designs
- Dressing and setting tables, including linen, napkins, charger plates, crockery, cutlery and glassware
- Washing, cleaning and polishing crockery, charger plates, cutlery and glassware before and after events
- Cleaning and preparing candelabras, candle holders and other décor items, including removing candle wax where required
- Ironing, steaming, folding and preparing table linen and curtains
- Checking décor and tableware to ensure everything is clean, polished and presentation-ready
- Preparing and checking décor items before events
- Positioning and arranging décor to achieve the required finished look
- Carefully packing, cleaning and organising décor following events
- Assisting with stock counts and ensuring décor is returned to the correct storage areas
- Loading and unloading décor, furniture and event equipment where required
- Completing post-event décor pack-downs, including late-night and overnight shifts

What We’re Looking For
- A genuine interest in event décor, styling, floristry or creative design
- A good eye for detail and presentation
- Creative and willing to learn new décor and styling techniques
- Reliable and punctual
- Hardworking with a positive, team-focused attitude
- Willing to get involved in both the creative and practical sides of event décor, including cleaning, polishing and preparation
- Able to follow mood boards, visual references and instructions
- Comfortable with practical and physical work, including lifting and moving event equipment
- Able to work efficiently as part of a team
- Flexible availability, particularly evenings and weekends
- Based in London or able to travel easily within London
- Previous experience in event décor, floristry, balloon styling, weddings, events or hospitality is helpful but not essential – training will be provided

Working Arrangements
This is freelance/casual event work, with shifts offered according to our event schedule.
Working hours will vary and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, overnight setups and late-night pack-downs.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop practical event décor skills, work on a variety of weddings and events, and learn how an event is transformed from an empty venue into a fully styled space.
