Fix Radio is the Builders Station. A unique, award-winning, construction industry-focused, shining light in the radio industry, with over 720,000* listeners who listen for over (a massive) 31 hours a week (Nielsen Research Q2 2026). Our listeners have a deep emotional connection to our brand and we are at the centre of many of the hot topics within the trade and construction industries.
Fix Radio is successful, ground-breaking, ambitious, motivated, and dynamic, and has experienced rapid early years growth, gaining huge respect from our community along the way.
What is FixFest?
Part trade expo, part country fair, part music festival, FixFest is the UK’s only festival for tradespeople and their families. Our FixFest values and ambitions match those of our radio station.
Sponsored by Wickes TradePro and debuting in Sussex in 2025 before a move of site to Northampton for our 2026 follow up, acts so far have included (qualified plasterer) Dizzee Rascal, Ocean Colour Scene, Scouting For Girls, Sigma, Hard-Fi, Goldie Lookin’ Chain, Toploader, and more.
The festival has also included attractions such as The JCB Dancing Diggers, UK’s Strongest Man demos, Diggerland, chainsaw tree sculpting, a vast array of fun activities in the family zone, and dozens of tradestands. We also have three discussion zones that focus on key issues in the construction industry - The Bosch Inspiration and Innovation Zone, the Baxi Powerhouse (wellbeing & mental health), and the Wickes TradePro Tool Theft zone with each designed to provide educational and informative content to inspire our industry family.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
