About The Role
The purpose of the Footcare service is to cut toe nails for those clients who fulfil the scheme criteria. Age UK MK is dedicated to helping older people live well, stay independent, and feel supported. Our Footcare Service is a vital part of that mission, and we’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Footcare Health Practitioner to join our team. This is a rewarding role where you’ll provide essential footcare to older adults, helping them stay mobile, comfortable, and confident in their daily lives.
About You
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with vulnerable or anxious clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
- Good observational skills to identify early signs of complications.
- Commitment to professional boundaries and safe practice.
- Confidence using clinical tools and maintaining sterile environments.
- Level 3 or Level 4 Foot Health Practitioner qualification (e.g., SMAE Institute, Stonebridge, College of Foot Health Practitioners.
- Membership of a recognised professional body (optional but beneficial).
- Valid insurance for clinical practice.
- Enhanced DBS check.
- Up-to-date training in infection control, safeguarding, and first aid.
