Freelance Garment Technologist – Womenswear
We are looking for an experienced Freelance Garment Technologist to provide summer holiday cover for a busy womenswear team on behalf of our client.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Garment Technologist who can hit the ground running and manage the critical path while maintaining high standards of fit, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct fit sessions and provide clear, commercial fit comments.
- Review and approve samples from prototype through to production.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure garments meet quality, fit, and construction standards.
- Manage the critical path to achieve key deadlines.
- Measure and assess samples against specification packs.
- Work closely with design, buying, and production teams.
- Approve grading, size specifications, and production samples.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Garment Technologist within womenswear.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, grading, and manufacturing.
- Confident leading fit sessions independently.
- Excellent communication skills with overseas suppliers.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly to a new team.
