About Pulse

Pulse Marketing and Media Group is a strategy-led marketing agency helping organisations build stronger brands, connect with their audiences and achieve measurable growth. We combine creative thinking, data and technology across websites, content, digital advertising and search marketing, with particular expertise in independent education. We take time to understand each client’s character, values and ambitions, so our work reflects who they are and what they want to achieve.

The opportunity

We’re looking for a Freelance Google Ads & SEO Specialist to work alongside our team across client projects. This is a remote freelance collaboration, with scope, workload and fees agreed before work begins. You’ll help clients attract relevant audiences, improve their online visibility and turn interest into meaningful enquiries. Experience across both Google Ads and SEO would be ideal, although we also welcome applications from freelancers with a strong specialism in either area.

Responsibilities

Depending on your specialism and the agreed projects, your work could include:

  • Planning, setting up and optimising Google Ads campaigns, including keyword research, audience targeting, bidding and budget management.
  • Reviewing search terms, negative keywords and ad copy to improve campaign relevance.
  • Working with our creative and website teams to align adverts, content and landing pages.
  • Setting up and checking conversion tracking through GA4 and Google Tag Manager.
  • Conducting technical SEO audits and prioritising improvements.
  • Optimising page titles, meta descriptions, internal linking and on-page content.
  • Developing keyword research and content recommendations around audience needs.
  • Monitoring performance through Google Search Console and relevant analytics and SEO tools.
  • Producing clear reports focused on qualified enquiries, conversions and client objectives.
  • Keeping up with platform updates and recommending practical improvements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
