About Edison Media
Edison Media is a results-driven, client-first media agency founded in 2019 with the mantra:
“If there is a better way to do it, find it.”
We work with ambitious brands to create campaigns that deliver measurable results, combining smart strategy, innovative thinking and brilliant execution across digital, social, OOH, TV and experiential.
As our digital offering continues to grow, we're looking for a talented Freelance Graphic Designer with strong experience in e-commerce and paid social creative to work alongside our digital team.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a designer who understands that paid ad creative needs to do more than look good – it needs to perform.
Your main focus will be creating high-performing advertising creative for our e-commerce clients across platforms including Meta, TikTok and other paid digital channels.
You'll work closely with our performance marketing team to turn campaign insights, product USPs, offers and audience behaviours into creative that grabs attention and drives action.
This is a role for someone who understands the difference between designing for a brand feed and designing creative specifically for paid media.
What You'll Be Working On
- Designing paid social advertising creative for e-commerce brands
- Creating static, carousel and other digital ad formats across Meta, TikTok and additional platforms
- Developing multiple creative variations for testing and optimisation
- Turning product benefits, promotions and USPs into clear, compelling ad creative
- Creating strong hooks, messaging hierarchies and CTAs designed to stop the scroll
- Working with our digital team to understand what is performing and why
- Using campaign performance and creative insights to inform the next round of concepts
- Refreshing and iterating winning creative to extend performance
- Adapting existing brand assets, photography and content into performance-led advertising
- Creating creative across different stages of the funnel, from awareness and prospecting through to retargeting and conversion
- Designing around key e-commerce moments including product launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns and sale periods
- Keeping up with emerging paid social creative trends and platform best practice

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Experience with TikTok creative, motion graphics, video editing, UGC-style creative or AI creative tools would be a big advantage.
Agency experience would also be beneficial, particularly if you've worked across multiple e-commerce accounts simultaneously.
The Edison Way
We're not looking for someone who simply waits for a brief telling them exactly what an ad should look like.
We want someone who can look at a product, audience or campaign objective and think:
“What's going to make someone stop scrolling, engage and ultimately buy?”
You'll work closely with our digital specialists, using campaign performance to understand what's working, what isn't and what we should test next.
We like people who are curious, commercially minded and willing to challenge the expected.
Why Work With Edison?
You'll get the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of brands while becoming an extension of our growing digital team.
We're looking to build a long-term relationship with a freelancer who can become our go-to creative resource for paid social and e-commerce campaigns, rather than simply finding someone for occasional design jobs.
If you're equally interested in how your creative performs as how it looks, we'd love to hear from you.
To apply, please send us your portfolio – including examples of paid social/e-commerce creative – your freelance day rate and an indication of your usual availability to info@edisonmedia.co.uk.
