We are looking for a reliable, organised and proactive Hair & Makeup Assistant to support our Hair & Makeup team within a fast-paced live news environment.
We'll Trust You To
- Carry out regular hair and makeup checks on presenters, talent and guests while on air.
- Assist the Hair & Makeup team with preparations, touch-ups and general on-set requirements.
- Ensure the hair and makeup room is fully stocked, clean, tidy and ready for use at all times.
- Clean and maintain workstations, tools and equipment to a high hygiene standard.
- Prepare the room and products ahead of broadcasts and reset between talent and guests.
- Monitor stock levels and flag any products or supplies that need replenishing.
- Respond quickly to last-minute requests and changing broadcast requirements.
- Work professionally and discreetly with presenters, guests and the wider production team.

You'll Need To Have
- Previous experience in hair and/or makeup is desirable.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Calm and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Proactive, flexible and a strong team player.
- Professional, personable and discreet.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment.
