About Us
24-7 Language Services is a UK based interpretation and translation agency with a large database of interpreters who are dedicated and qualified and have a vast amount of experience in their field.
We work closely with a variety of companies nationwide ranging from public sector law firms, GP practices, government agencies as well as other businesses requiring our services across the UK. Our national database of interpreters covers a wide range of spoken languages and dialects and is continually growing to meet increasing demand for our services. We aim to provide excellent, high quality services, at competitive rates, with the aim of establishing a reliable, professional relationship with our clients so that we may continue to provide them with our excellent services on a consistent basis to meet their needs.

The Role
As a freelance interpreter, you will:
- Facilitate effective communication between non-English speakers and service providers
- Provide interpreting services in legal, healthcare, social services, public-sector and other professional settings
- Maintain confidentiality, impartiality and professionalism at all times
- Accept assignments on an ad-hoc basis, according to your flexibility
Requirements
- Fluency in Native and English
- Previous interpreting/translation experience (preferred)
- Valid/current Enhanced DBS check
- Eligibility for self-employment in the UK
- Two professional interpreting/translation references
- Professionalism, reliability, and strong communication skills
- Ability to travel to on-site assignments
- Internet access and email for remote assignments
- Commitment to accurate, confidential, and impartial service
- Preferably qualified under Legal Aid Agency guidelines

Qualifications Accepted
- Community Interpreting Level 1/2/3 or 4
- Diploma in Police Interpreting
- Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (Law, Health, Local Government)
- Immigration Nationality Directorate Certificate
- UK Border Agency Certificate
- Language-related Degree or Diploma
