Description du poste
We are looking for an IT Proximity Engineer to join a leading international industrial organization operating in the manufacturing sector.
Based primarily on-site, this role provides Level 1 proximity support for end-user technologies and enhanced Level 1 & 2 hardware support for production, industrial and warehouse environments. The position requires regular travel between multiple company locations.
Working within the organization's IT support framework, the successful candidate will be responsible for on-site troubleshooting, equipment deployment and local technical interventions across office, production, warehouse and logistics environments.
More complex Level 2 end-user, infrastructure, server, network, application and security incidents will be escalated to the relevant infrastructure teams, central IT departments or approved third-party providers.
This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where operational continuity, end-user satisfaction and close collaboration with both business and IT stakeholders are key success factors.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
