Junior Freelance Systems Support
1920 are looking for a Junior Freelance Systems Support to join our team later this year.
This is a great opportunity for someone with some professional IT or systems support experience who’s passionate about technology, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to work in a creative, fast-paced VFX environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day technical support to artists and production teams, troubleshooting connectivity, hardware, software, and general IT issues.
- Assist with onboarding new joiners, including setting up accounts, permissions, and workstations.
- Manage user accounts and access across studio systems.
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations and other IT equipment.
- Keep the office technology environment tidy, organised, and functional, including cable management and workstation organisation.
- Support general IT and systems operations across the studio.
- Diagnose and resolve issues where possible, escalating more complex problems when required.
- Work closely with the wider systems and engineering team to ensure the studio runs smoothly.

About You

- Previous experience in an IT support, systems support, or similar technical role.
- A strong interest in technology and IT systems, with a willingness to continue developing your technical skills.
- Experience working across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Confident troubleshooting technical issues and working methodically to find solutions.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with good attention to detail.
- Comfortable supporting non-technical users and explaining technical issues clearly.
- Organised and dependable, with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy studio environment.
- A team player with excellent communication skills.
- Experience within a creative, media, or VFX environment would be beneficial but isn't essential.
- Must be available to work onsite.
